ENTSO-E & ENTSOG 2022 TYNDP SCENARIOS CONSULTATION

Closed 18 Nov 2021

Opened 7 Oct 2021

Overview

Regulation (EU) 347/2013 requires that ENTSO-E and ENTSOG use scenarios for their respective Ten-Year Network Development Plans (TYNDPs) 2022. The development of the scenarios marks the first step in the TYNDP 2022 process. The Draft Scenario Report has been developed from the storylines presented in the TYNDP 2022 Storyline Report, which were consulted in November/December 2020. The draft TYNDP 2022 scenario that is published on 7 October 2021 consist of one national policy scenario, derived from the energy and climate policies of the EU and aligned with EU climate goals, and two top-down scenarios developed in line with the Paris Agreement target and the efforts of the EU-27 to reduce GHG emissions to 55% by 2030 and to net-zero by 2050.

All stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on the scenario framework and proposals for the two top-down scenarios. A six-week online consultation will run from 7 October until 18 November 2021. Your feedback is welcomed and considered an important part of the process. Based on your feedback, ENTSO-E and ENTSOG will update and develop the scenarios further to be used in the Final TYNDP 2022 Scenario Report (to be released in early 2022) and the subsequent TYNDPs 2022 for electricity and gas.
