IU amended LT CC methodology

Overview

This consultation concerns the amendment of the regional TSO proposal for the Long-Term Capacity Calculation Methodology for the IU CCR, in accordance with Article 10 of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1719 of 26 September 2016 establishing a guideline on forward capacity allocation.

The amendment of the Long-Term Capacity Calculation Methodology follows a Request for Amendment received on 22 July 2019 from all NRAs of the IU Capacity Calculation Region.

Why your views matter

We are seeking input from stakeholders on the amendments to the Long-Term Capacity Calculation Methodology for the IU CCR. As the proposal is subject to consultation in accordance with Article 6 of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1719 of 26 September 2016 establishing a guideline on forward capacity allocation, the TSOs of the IU CCR are initiating this open on-line consultation for a period of one month.

As we have previously consulted on the underlying proposed methodology and the NRAs request for amendment focuses on clarifying specific aspects of the proposed methodology rather than substantive changes to the content, we are seeking feedback only on the proposed amendments.

What happens next

The objective of the public consultation is to collect the stakeholders’ views on the amendments to the Long-Term Capacity Calculation Methodology proposal. After the public consultation, the IU TSOs will assess the comments received by the stakeholders and update the proposal for submission to regional regulators for approval.
