Overview

Regulation (EU) 347/2013 requires that the ENTSOs use scenarios for their respective Ten-Year Network Development Plans (TYNDPs). On 12 November, the ENTSOs published their draft joint Scenario Report for TYNDP 2020 – the press release, which includes links to the associated documents, is available on the ENTSOG website, here. The report outlines the three scenarios developed: ‘National Trends’, ‘Global Ambition’ and ‘Distributed Energy’.

Please provide your consultation responses by the deadline of 17 January 2019.

A public workshop to present the TYNDP 2020 Scenario Report will be hosted by the ENTSOs in Hotel Metropole, Place de Brouckère 31 in Brussels on 5 December. More details of this event are available on the ENTSOs websites: ENTSOG and ENTSO-E.

After consideration of stakeholder feedback, the report will be finalised and the ENTSOs will progress to develop their TYNDPs to continue their assessment of the needs of the European gas and electricity infrastructures.

  • ENTSOs workshop on joint TYNDP 2020 Scenarios

    The workshop will present the scenarios, explain how they were developed and detail the next steps. Stakeholders will have the opportunity to ask questions to the Scenarios building team.
