Closes 6 Jun 2022

Opened 6 May 2022

Overview

This consultation concerns the Amended Nordic Synchronous Area Methodology for Additional Properties of FCR in Accordance with Article 154(2) of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/1485 of 2 August 2017 establishing a guideline on electricity transmission system operation (SO Regulation).

For several years, the Nordic TSOs have been developing new technical requirements for Frequency Containment Reserve for Normal Operation (FCR-N) and Frequency Containment Reserve for Disturbances (FCR-D). The aim with the new technical requirements is to harmonize the requirements in Nordic countries and to upgrade the requirements to meet the needs of the changing power system.

The common proposal of the Nordic TSOs can be found below under the Related Documents. The contents of the proposal have been presented and discussed at a stakeholder event on the 28th of March.
