TYNDP 2024 Scenarios Input Parameters
Overview
ENTSO-E and ENTSOG public consultation on the TYNDP 2024 Scenarios Input Parameters
ENTSO-E and ENTSOG published their Storylines Report and several key underlying data sets and modeling methodologies as a first deliverable in the formal process for TYNDP 2024 scenario building, as required by Regulations 943/2019 and 715/2009.
All stakeholders are invited to provide feedback until 8 August 2023.
As part of ENTSO-E and ENTSOG’s goal of improved quantification of underlying assumptions for the TYNDP 2024 scenarios, the Storylines report includes detailed datasets on several key topics such as demand, supply, modeling methodologies, and carbon budget methodology.
To provide more information on the published datasets and offer stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions, a consultation hybrid workshop will take place on 13 July between 10:00 and 12:00 CEST. In addition, a selection of stakeholder roundtables will also be held on 13 July between 13:00 and 17:15, to allow the Scenario Building Team to discuss key topics and datasets with stakeholders in more depth on the demand, supply, modelling methodologies and carbon budget topics. A summary of the discussion in each roundtable will subsequently be published on the TYNDP 2024 scenarios website.
Datasets and modelling methodologies for consultation are accessible here and include:
- Draft Supply Inputs
- Draft Supply Tool (EU-level)
- Modelling Methodologies & Draft Assumptions
- Draft Line Data Inputs
- Draft Demand Scenarios
- Draft Carbon Budget Methodology
- Draft H2 Steel Tank Methodology
- NT+ Energy Mix Gap Filling Methodology (Annex-2 Storyline Report)
What happens next
The draft TYNDP 2024 Scenario Report, taking into account results of the stakeholder feedback, is expected to be published in late 2023 for consultation. The TYNDP 2024 Scenarios Report is expected to be finalised in 2024.
