SEE proposal for amendment of the common capacity calculation methodology for the day-ahead and intraday market time-frame
Overview
This consultation concerns the SEE CCR TSOs’ proposal for an amendment of the common capacity calculation methodology for the day-ahead and intraday market time-frame in accordance with Article 21 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management and article 16(8) of Regulation (EC) 2019/943.
Why your views matter
The methodology for common capacity calculation for the day-ahead and intraday market time-frame for the SEE CCR developed in accordance with Article 21 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management was approved by ACER on 25 July 2019. In 2019, article 16(8) of Regulation 2019/943 introduced a minimum margin for cross zonal trade among TSOs. Based on the above, it was necessary to initiate the process of amending the approved methodology for common capacity calculation in accordance with Article 21 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management and article 16(8) of Regulation 2019/943.
SEE TSOs are seeking input from stakeholders, including the relevant authorities, market participants and NEMOs on the proposal for amendment of the common capacity calculation methodology for the day-ahead and intraday market time-frame. This public consultation is initiated for a period of one month.

What happens next
The objective of the public consultation is to collect input and opinions of the interested parties on the proposal for amendment of the common capacity calculation methodology for the day-ahead and intraday market time-frame in accordance with Article 21 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management and article 16(8) of Regulation (EC) 2019/943. Following the public consultation, the TSOs of the SEE CCR will assess the comments received and update the proposal of amendment, if needed. In case any comments are received, a justification for including or not including the received comments will be included when submitting the proposal of amendment.
