Overview
This consultation concerns the Proposal for Amendment of Methodology for the market-based allocation process of cross-zonal capacity for the exchange of balancing capacity for the Baltic Capacity Calculation Region (CCR) in accordance with Article 41(1) of Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 of 23 November 2017 establishing a guideline on electricity balancing. The proposal has been prepared by the Baltic CCR TSOs: AS “Augstsprieguma tīkls”, Elering AS, Fingrid, LITGRID AB, AFFÄRSVERKET SVENSKA KRAFTNÄT and Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A.

What happens next
The objective of the public consultation is to collect the stakeholders’ views on the Baltic market-based cross-zonal capacity allocation methodology amendments. After the public consultation, the Baltic CCR TSOs will assess the comments received from the stakeholders, finalise the amendment proposal and submit it to the Baltic CCR NRAs in Q3 2024.
