Italy North TSOs' proposal on the intraday Capacity Calculation Methodology
Overview
This consultation concerns the regional TSO proposal for the Capacity Calculation Methodology for the Italy North Capacity Calculation Region (CCR), in accordance with Article 20 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management also considering the goals as set in in the Commission Regulation (EC) 2019/943 of 5 June 2019. This proposal covers the Capacity Calculation Methodology for the intraday timeframe for the Italy North CCR.
Why your views matter
We are seeking input from stakeholders and market participants on this important feature. TSOs from the Italy North Capacity Calculation Region (TERNA, RTE, APG and ELES together with Swissgrid as Technical Counterparty) are initiating this open on-line consultation for a period of not less than one month. The report shall be subject to consultation in accordance with Article 12 of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a Guideline on Capacity Calculation and Congestion Management (CACM). For information purposes, an Explanatory Note describing in more detail the proposed intraday methodology is added as well.
What happens next
The objective of the public consultation is to collect the stakeholders’ views on the capacity calculation methodology proposal. After the public consultation the Italy North TSOs will assess the comments received by the stakeholders and update the proposal.
