All TSOs' proposal for amendment to include upcoming interconnections in the decision on capacity calculation regions
Overview
This consultation concerns a common proposal developed by all Transmission System Operators ("TSOs") regarding the amendment of Annex 1 of the decision of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators ("ACER") on the determination of Capacity Calculation Regions ("CCRs") in accordance with the Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a Guideline on Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management ("CACM Regulation").
The proposed amendment requests focuses on very specific provisions of the decision on the CCRs so as to reflect the introduction of new interconnections in the already existing CCRs, namely Hansa, Core and Channel CCRs.
To this end, this proposal for an amendment request is not intended to affect other provisions of the decision of ACER of 17 November 2016 than those mentioned in the proposal.
Why your views matter
In accordance with Article 9(13) of the CACM Regulation, TSOs can request amendments to the terms and conditions proposed. Such amendment requests should be subject to public consultation as defined in Article 12 of the CACM Regulation.
To fulfil this CACM requirement, and to get the input from stakeholders and market participants on this proposal, TSOs and ENTSO-E hold this open on-line consultation.
What happens next
All TSOs and ENTSO-E will assess all the comments received and use them to prepare the final version of the amendment request that will be submitted to all NRAs.
The final version of the the amendment request will be published on the ENTSO-E website, on the dedicated CACM page (https://electricity.network-codes.eu/network_codes/cacm/) at the time of submission to all NRAs.
