Overview

This consultation concerns amendment proposal to the establishment of common and harmonised rules and processes for the exchange and procurement of Balancing Capacity for Frequency Containment Reserves (FCR) in accordance with Article 33 of Commission Regulation (EU) establishing a guideline on electricity balancing. The aim of the proposed amendment is to introduce the Gate Opening Time (GOT) at D-7 and improve and correct the description of the FCR market rules (i.e. algorithm and settlement process) and of the LFC Block for Germany and Denmark West (DKW).

What happens next

FCR TSOs will process the feedback received and prepare a final Amendment Proposal to be submitted to FCR NRAs for approval in September 2021.
