Nordic TSOs’ proposal for ramping restrictions (amended)
Overview
This consultation concerns the amended proposal of all Nordic TSOs for ramping restrictions for active power output in accordance with Article 137(3) and (4) of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/1485 of 2 August 2017 establishing a guideline on electricity transmission system operation (SO Regulation).
The new Nordlink interconnector between Norway and Germany requires an amendment to the proposal related to ramping restrictions that was approved by the Nordic NRAs in July 2019. The amendment to the proposal adds NordLink to the list of existing HVDC interconnectors in Article 3(1) and 3(2) of the Proposal. By this, NordLink will be treated in the same way as the existing HVDC interconnectors. For more explanation, the TSOs refer to the explanatory document of the proposal sent to the NRAs in May 2019 (and approved in July 2019).
Why your views matter
The proposal is subject to public consultation according to article 11 of SO Regulation.
