Consultation on IU CCR CSA Methodology (SOGL Art.76)

Overview

Article 75 and 76 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/1485 of 2 August 2017 establishing a guideline on electricity transmission system operation (SOGL) pertain to Coordinated Security Analysis. Following on from the ACER decision on the Coordinated Security analysis methodology in June, EirGrid, SONI and National Grid ESO have developed a draft CSA methodology for the Ireland United Kingdom (IU) Capacity Calculation Region (CCR). All three TSOs are consulting on this draft methodology from October 11th until November 11th. Please find the draft methodology linked below along with an explanatory note.

Why your views matter

We would like to get industry views on the proposal prior to finalising it for submission to the three regulatory authorities in the region.

What happens next

All responses will be shared with all three TSOs and all three National Regulatory Authorities, and may be published. If you would prefer your response not to be published please mark it confidential.

The three TSOs will consider all responses prior to updating the methodology and submitting it to the CRU, Utility Regulator and Ofgem by 19th December 2019.
